Albert Einstein
"It is not about how much one knows, but rather knowing where to find what one needs to know."
The story goes like this. One afternoon Albert Einstein was sitting back relaxing in his seat after a long lecture. His head was back and his feet were comfortably positioned upon an open draw of his desk. He looked up to notice one of the students lingering. He kindly asked the shy young lad if he had a question he might answer.
The young man's eyes brightened with the acknowledgment as he spoke up. "As a matter of fact I found your lecture so intriguing. I can only hope one day to reach half the brilliants you have achieved. Mmmmm, I was actually going to ask you for your phone number. You see I have this paper I am working on and I was thinking if I could chat with you concerning it once in a while it might spark new ideas and just help me get the grade I need."
Albert spun around in his seat to avoid letting his broad smile spill out embarrassing the lad. His feet now both firmly planted on the ground, he stood after picking up the phone book from his open drawer. He turned back around facing the lad, composed, as he flipped through the pages.
The Young man took a step back in complete amazement. He was standing in front of one of the greatest minds in the world witnessing him look up his own phone number!
Upon finding what he was looking for Albert said, in quite a serious tone, "It is not about how much one knows, but rather knowing where to find what one needs to know." He then collected a scrap of paper and a pencil from his desk and wrote down His personal home phone number. He handed it promptly over to the lad, and patted him the shoulder, nodding as he turning to leave the lecture podium.
